This home page will give you some background information about the Pronto/3D² program.

Background

The Pronto program originally started more than five years ago as a joint project between CRI, Bruker, and Carlsberg A/S. The first version, released in 1992, supported analysis of 2D spectra only. This version was sold as a commercial product by Pronto Software, Development and Distribution. Later, a 3D version of the program was released. This was made after a major redesign of the data base and the user interface. The program supports analysis of 2D, 3D, and 4D NMR spectra.

Today's version of the program, Pronto 3D², is named so because you can analyse multidimensional spectra as well as display 3D protein structures. This version is made available, free of charge, from Carlsberg Laboratory - both to academic and profit institutions.

How to get it

Download the version you need, install it, run it, note the serial number of your machine as it is printed by the program, fill in the license form and a license code will be mailed to you. The address for downloading is ftp.crc.dk, directory /pub/pronto

Supported platforms

Currently, the following platforms are supported:

1. Silicon Graphics. Compiled IRIX 6.1. This should run under IRIX 5.3 and newer. DOWNLOAD
2. Sun SPARC station. Compiled under Solaris 2.4 using gcc version 2.6.3 DOWNLOAD
3. Linux x86 ELF glibc 2.1 format. Compiled under RedHat 6.0. Note: This will NOT run under RedHat 5.2. DOWNLOAD
