The Optica putter employs the latest materials and technology to maximize not only alignment, but every aspect of a putter?s design, including forgiveness, feel, and roll.
Forgiveness -
Similar to Cobra?s Inner Mallet (IM) putters in design and size, the Optica maximizes the forgiveness of the mallet design by utilizing efficient weight distribution through the use of a tri-metal construction. Locating most of the overall putter weight along the rear periphery of the putter head by means of the forged steel weight bar, and then substituting the top portion of the club with ultra lightweight urethane. The resulting design improved the overall Moment of Inertia (MOI) by over 60%.
Feel -
Of all the metals available, aluminum provides one of the softest feels. And by utilizing the urethane top, Optica putters obtain additional feel by dampening unwanted vibrations through the urethane?s material properties.
Roll -
To help produce a consistent, true roll with each stroke, Cobra situated the club center of gravity deep behind the face and developed a precision milled face pattern to minimize skid.
