| | | About Desert Falls | | Voted one of the top 10 courses in the desert by the SCPGA. DESERT FALLS IS THE BEST COUNTRY CLUB AT THE ABSOLUTE BEST VALUE! | There are golf courses, then there?s Desert Falls. Designed by Ron Fream in 1984. Mr. Fream has designed championship courses since 1966 in over 50 countries and six continents from Finland to Bali, Disney Paris to the Sultan of Brunei. His designs are always one-of-a-kind. Never mirrored or duplications of other courses ? with an emphasis on traditional and historic design. One-of-a-kind elements incorporated into Desert Falls include three signature holes: The par-3, 14th, is among the toughest in the desert with its massive 18,000 sq. ft. green (the largest green west of the Rocky Mountains) and, in essence, three green in one. The 9th is a tricky par 5 that can tempt longer hitters into going for the green in two over the lake. The 18th, with its shared lake to #9, is a demanding par-4. At 437 yards, more sand and water protect the green. Desert Falls earned a 145 slope rating from the back tees, putting Desert Falls among the five highest slope rated courses in the Coachella Valley. Along with being listed as one of the top ten courses by the SCPGA, Desert Falls earned a four star rating from Golf Digest?s Best Places to Play based on course condition, rate of play, staff, and over all value. You may not play the best game, but you can play the best course ? at Desert Falls Country Club. | | |
