Canyon Crest Country Club Childcare Program

OUR GOAL IS TO PROVIDE OUR MEMBERS? CHILDREN WITH A SAFE, CREATIVE, AND CAREFULLY SUPERVISED ENVIRONMENT SO THEY MAY ENJOY THEIR TIME AT THE CLUB JUST LIKE THEIR PARENTS.

Thank you for your interest in our childcare program. We are excited to offer you and your loved ones this outstanding service. As a family oriented club, we pride ourselves in our youth programs and we have put a great deal of effort into ensuring that your children will be well looked after. All of our childcare providers have been carefully selected and will see that your young ones are in a safe and creative program. I think they will enjoy our story time, arts & crafts, games, toys, and personalized attention.

I believe this to be the future of our club and am already anticipating future opportunities to expand our service. Please feel free to contact me at any time with ideas or suggestions. Your feedback is important and welcomed.

Hours of Operation
Based on Reservations

Tuesdays: 5:00 P.M. ? 10:00 P.M.

Thursdays: 5:00 P.M. ? 10:00 P.M.

Reservations: Always a good idea. Although reservations are not required, we will be staffing our service based on usage. If our first child will be arriving at 6:00 P.M., then we will schedule accordingly. Another good reason to call in advance is to be certain we are not full. As noted earlier, our maximum capacity is twelve children per child care provider, depending on age.

To make your reservation, simply call Cathy at the reception desk. Please call by noon on the day of your reservation at the latest to ensure a childcare provider will be available for you. Our goal is to have someone here by 5:00 P.M. every Tuesday and Thursday, but we need you to take advantage of the service to make it work. Thank you!

Hours of Operation are subject to change.

P
rogram Guidelines

Please take advantage of this exceptional service. This program is complimentary because we believe it will make it easier for you to frequent your club. It is only intended for members who will be on property! We encourage you to come play tennis, golf, or just enjoy a nice dinner while your children are well looked after. It is imperative that you remain on the property so that we may reach you if the need should arise.

Registration: In order to take advantage of our childcare services, you must complete our registration process. Three important pieces of information must be on file:

1. Childcare Registration Worksheet
2. Activity Release and Indemnity Agreement
3. Program Handbook Acceptance Form

Sign-in Procedure: You must personally sign-in when dropping off your child. It is important that our caregivers know precisely where you will be so that they may contact you if necessary.

After signing-in your child, please put his/her name tag on his/her back and give any specific instructions to the caregiver at this time. Please don?t enter the childcare room, but say goodbye at the door?Long goodbyes are hard on everyone.

Staffing: We will have up to two childcare providers each evening. Our supervision ratios depend on the ages of the children. While we do not anticipate being at maximum capacity, we do have limits on how many children we can safely supervise.

Under 1 year old 3 to 1 ratio
1 to 6 years old 6 to 1 ratio
6 to 10 years old 12 to 1 ratio
For example: We would be at maximum capacity if we had two adults caring for three infants, three 4 year old children, and six 8 year olds.

Ages: We welcome children from six months old all the way through ten years old. The children will be in the same room, but we will provide suitable activities for each age group.

Infants: Please bring everything your child will need for the evening. If you would like us to bottle feed your child, then please provide the bottle premixed. You will also need to provide your own diapers and wipes for changing purposes. Please be certain to have your diaper bag and its contents well labeled!

Clothing: Children who wear diapers should be clothed in easy access outfits. An extra outfit is appreciated just in case your child needs changing.

Toys: Children are requested not to bring special toys to the club as this creates problems with sharing and the possible loss of the toy.

Illness: Children who are showing signs of illness MUST remain at home. Please resist the temptation to bring them to the club. We appreciate your cooperation as this important rule assures the safety and health of the other children in our care.

Problems: All children must remain in the childcare room. If your child is having a difficult time being left in our care, then please discuss this with our staff. We will gladly help to comfort your child, who will usually stop crying within minutes. If you need to know how your child is doing, please ask one of our staff to check for you. Please do not visit your child as this is often upsetting. If we are having difficulty consoling your child, then rest assured that we will contact you immediately.

Sign-out Procedure: It is important for you to sign-out your child before leaving. We need to know exactly when your child was picked up and by whom. The only people authorized to sign-out your child are those indicated on the Childcare Registration Worksheet. Anyone picking up your child must be prepared to show an appropriate form of photographic identification.
