Austin Reed - The Experts on British Tailoring

Austin Reed's Autumn Winter 2007 collection sees a revival of British tailoring with a contemporary twist.

Formalwear features shades of grey, blue and brown with highlights of deep reds and plum. Suits and jackets are cut from the finest British cloths, heavier in weight to give a more defined and robust feel. Key items include Puppy tooth and herringbone jackets with slanted or ticket pockets paired with flat front trousers for an updated silhouette.

The newly launched Signature range has been extended to include luxurious velvet evening jackets for that perfect day to evening look and the ultimate silk printed seventies inspired dresses for women, gently fitted with flared deep cuffs.

Casualwear features fine gauge knits in 100% merino wool and updated shirt styling with slimmer body?s, arms and smaller collar shapes. Key items include the contemporary chunky shawl neck cardigan and wool mix Prince of Wales and mini hound?s-tooth jackets all of which come with matching trousers.

Prince of Wales checks, stripes and donegals in pure wool suiting introduce traditional British textiles to the womenswear range. Key colors are glamorous greys, ivory?s and camels with highlights of magenta pink, teal and berry. Suiting is long and lean with a masculine twist, slim leg pants are paired with feminine blouses for a look that is sophisticated and classic. Vintage inspired tea dresses and silk blouses in the deepest gold?s with large bows and cuff details create an elegant evening look. Knitwear is oversized and works best when paired with crisp white shirts with pleated or bibbed fronts and flannel wide leg trousers to create the season?s newest look. Key outerwear shapes include military inspired peacoats with subtle detailing and belted funnel neck coats with cinched in waists.

Accessories such as skinny-stripped scarves and paisley print silk cravats are bold and bright while the finest selection of nickel cufflinks and silk ties in classic city stripes give a polished edge.
