Course Description:
Working in the Grenning Sculpture Showroom, students
will create drawings the sculptures on display in the
Showroom using graphite on 11-x14 inch paper.
Students will be instructed in techniques taught at the Grand Central Academy of Art, which have been derived from the 19th century academic drawing methods
Selected drawings will be displayed for sale in a special exhibit on Saturday Jan 19th, 2008

Special Two Day Intro to Sight Size Technique

Course Dates: Saturday January 5th and Sunday January 6th
10:00 am- 5pm (with a break for lunch and tea)

Instructor: Stephen Bauman

Course Description:
In this course, an introduction to Sight Size method of drawing will be taught, using the techniques taught at the Florence Academy of Art. This procedure will, with practice, better equip each student to reproduce nature in it?s truest form. To gain practical understanding of the sight size method we will be drawing from plaster casts. Literature and reproductions of Mr. Bauman?s own cast drawings
in all five stages will be on hand for example and inspiration.
