Weblin, the first example of ‘personal avatar’, the virtual image that ‘lives’ on the web and follows the user when browsing the Internet , makes its debut in Italy for the presentation of the Lancia Ypsilon Sport Momo Design.
On the basis of the agreement between Testawebedv and weblin, the first ‘made in Lancia’ on-line press conference was held on June 28. The first guests arrive just before 11 o’clock on ypsilonsportmomodesign.it. No selection at the entrance, no coffee breaks. An astronaut, a sub, a skeleton and a monster immediately take a seat in the front row beside other avatar wearing Lancia and Ypsilon t-shirts.
The avatar take front stage at the event thanks to weblin, the application that permits free browsing of the Internet and communication with all those present at the same time on the same site. In fact, the avatar follows the all the user’s movements on the web and, when it meets another avatar, makes contact with this.
Kick-off. The elegant avatar of the Lancia communication manager starts to entertain the guests while an angel with black wings – Angel – acts as host offering to help guests who have any browsing problems.
The journalists are invited to view the Ypsilon Sport TV commercial and discover the latest addition to the Lancia family, bad inside and really spiteful on line considering that the site never misses a chance to amaze at each click! The sections are visited, discovering the car and the world of Lancia, getting to know more about weblin while swapping initial impressions.
Around midday, free rein is given to journalists’ questions. The monitor is crowded with comic strips, arousing curiosity, while more information is provided about the Brand. Thanks to weblin, Lancia once again confirms its attention to innovation both in its products and services and in the way it communicates with its customers.
