Kärcher continues as sponsor of the BP-Ford World Rally Teams and the FIA World Rally Championship
Cleaning equipment specialist Kärcher, Winnenden, is continuing its sponsorship of the FIA World Rally Championship in 2007. As last year, Kärcher will be supporting the series as a whole and the BP-Ford World Rally Team, which won the constructors’ title in 2006.
”The excellent cooperation with both partners last year strengthened our resolve to maintain an active role in rally sport,” says Kärcher managing director Georg Metz. “The worldwide popularity of WRC also increases our brand awareness.”
Some 700 million television viewers watch the World Rally Championship – it has an every growing number of followers in South and Central Europe in particular.
Being a team sponsor, Kärcher’s logo will feature twice on each of the cars this year, i.e. those of championship runner-up Marcus Grönholm and third-placed Mikko Hirvonen. In addition, Kärcher places ads around the courses and provides a cleaning service for the rally cars. For this purpose a Kärcher washing bay is set up in each service area where the vehicles are washed to perfection with petrol-powered high-pressure cleaners.
