Burning Crusade Direct Online Upgrade Now Available
You can now buy account upgrade keys and download the game client for World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade directly through the account management section of www.worldofwarcraft.com. With this new direct online upgrade method, you don't even need to leave your desk if you decide to upgrade to The Burning Crusade and join more than two million players who are already adventuring beyond the Dark Portal. All you need to do is:
- Login to Account Management
- Click the Burning Crusade "Download Now" button
- Enter your credit card information
- Follow the link to download the Burning Crusade game client

The World of Warcraft board game from Fantasy Flight Games has just received its first content update ? the card expansion, Shadow of War, is now available in the Blizzard store. Shadow of War contains new rules, new options, and new ways to translate the fast-paced World of Warcraft gameplay into a board game format. Features include:
- Ten new talents and ten new powers for all nine character classes;
- Nearly 200 new item cards;
- Destiny Cards telling the sweeping epic that is your adventure in Azeroth;
- New blue quests that focus on the independent blue monsters.

World of Warcraft Expansion Coming to Mainland China
Blizzard is pleased to announce that it has extended its agreement with its local partner, The9, for the operation of World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade in mainland China. Localization into Simplified Chinese is underway, and both companies are working hard to complete the process and release the expansion in mainland China as soon as possible. You can read more about it in our recent press release.

World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade Breaks Day-1 Sales Record
Thousands of retail stores around the world had their doors open at midnight on January 16 to welcome the crowds that had gathered outside, and within 24 hours of The Burning Crusade's launch that night, nearly 2.4 million players worldwide had purchased the expansion. Further details are available in a news alert we issued this morning. We again welcome all of the current, new, and returning players to The Burning Crusade. It's been great to see more and more of you take up the cause of the Horde and the Alliance as Blood Elves and Draenei, and to see the most powerful characters in Azeroth venturing deeper into Outland each day.

New Patch for Warcraft III
We've just issued a new patch for Warcraft III that includes some new maps, as well as updates to existing maps, native support for Intel Mac systems, and a number of minor bug fixes. Sideshow Collectibles to Offer World of Warcraft Sculptures
Sideshow Collectibles, makers of high-quality collectible statues, is turning its attention to the fantasy settings of Azeroth and Outland. Their new World of Warcraft line, featuring characters and scenes from the original World of Warcraft as well as The Burning Crusade, will consist of highly-detailed collectible polystone figures and dioramas.

Zboard Keyset For The Burning Crusade Now Available
The new Zboard keyset for World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade is now available. The new keyset includes many of its predecessor's cool and useful features, such as labeled keys and one-touch macros for frequent commands like /roll, /duel, /invite and /follow, but this latest version has also been updated with new Burning Crusade artwork and comes with access to exclusive game guide content from BRADYGAMES including maps, strategies and useful hints. Warcraft III Season 4 Global Finals
We are pleased to announce that the Warcraft III Season 4 Global Finals will be held in Germany at Cologne's Media Park between January 25-27, 2007, during the Intel® Friday Night. Sixteen of the world's best Warcraft III players earned their places at the Global Finals with top performances at earlier regional finals in Asia, Europe, and the Americas. We would like to thank our sponsors for the Warcraft III Season 4.
The Global Finals is organized by Turtle Entertainment, operator of Europe's major eSports league, the Electronic Sports League (ESL). GIGA, the European broadcasting station for games, eSports and lifestyle, will provide live coverage. Player brackets and information on the coverage times will be posted on Battle.net soon. The Burning Crusade Is Live!
World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade is now available at a store near you! You can read the full press release here. Featuring a massive new world, two new races, several new instanced dungeons, and hundreds of unique new quests, The Burning Crusade provides countless hours of exciting solo and group content. And if you want to go toe-to-toe with human opponents, the expansion's Arena PvP System and the redesigned PvP Honor System will provide the thrills and excitement you seek. There are both a standard and a collector's edition available for The Burning Crusade; you can learn more about the latter in our detailed Burning Crusade Collector's Edition Preview. During installation of the expansion, you'll be able to upgrade your World of Warcraft account access to The Burning Crusade. Alternatively, you can click here to upgrade as well.

Midnight Store Openings: Send Us Your Photos!
Blizzard developers will be on-hand at a few different midnight store openings in California tonight to meet players and sign copies of World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade. Click here for more details and a list of the locations where you can come out and meet fellow players and members of the World of Warcraft development team tonight.
In addition, a number of stores nationwide will open their doors at midnight for players who want to be among the first to pick up a copy of the expansion and try out all the new content. To commemorate the launch, we'd like to collect your photos from the various midnight-opening events across the country and post some of them on our World of Warcraft community website. You can send in photos from any of the Burning Crusade midnight opening events via our Midnight Openings Submission Page.
