I live in Columbus the capitol of Ohio smack in the middle of normalcy. The city dates back to the late 1700's. They've even found log cabins under several layers of clapboard, aluminum and vinyl siding from what was once known as Franklinton down in 'the Bottoms' on the west side of the Scioto river. 'Bottoms' is apropos as it defines the lowest topography and economically poorest parts of Columbus. A great flood washed the whole place out in the early part of the 1900's. (read more...)
