Norco Mountain Bike Lineup
All Mountain Freeride
Out of the various fractured styles of ?new school?, ?old school?, ?freeride?, ?street?, ?DH?, ?Enduro?, and ?XC?; riders have emerged who do it all, and do it all REALLY well. Each sub-category suits a slightly different all-mountain rider and terrain preference, but all of them will help you accomplish the same goal ? to ride anywhere and everywhere.
All Mountain Cross Country
The rider we had in mind for this bike craves a good long climb but still wants room for skills progression. NSMB.com reviewer, Lee Lau agreed with our assessment when he wrote, ?Where the bike seemed to really shine was on rooty, technical sections of trail with multiple ups and downs. It eats up that terrain letting you drive hard through tough sections. Once dialed, the suspension, the frame and the components mesh into a beautiful package of energy-directing aluminium fury.?
Downhill
Norco?s VPS Team DH, A-Line, and Atomik were designed for two purposes: - to tackle the toughest freeride lines, - and to get riders on the World Cup podium. After being awarded the first ever 5-Star rating from NSMB.com for the 2006 Team DH, the designers had to work extra hard this year to improve this year?s model.
Shore Freeride
Our Shore Freeride bikes have always been inspired by the original ?shore? trails we can see out our office windows in Vancouver, BC. Both the full suspension and hardtail freeride bikes are intended for the versatile rider who drools over steeps and dreams about technical obstacles. If you love it all, from drops, ramps, and skinnies, to dirt jumps, skate parks, and weekends at the bike park, these are your bikes.
Shore Hardtail
For our Freeride Hardtails, we?ve kept all the features that have made our bikes world-famous, such as extra thick head tubes, and CNC?d yokes for strength & mud clearance.
Supercross Dirt Street Skatepark
Unlike many of our competitors who put ?street? components onto trail bikes, our Dirt and Street line has been developed specifically to suit the needs of riders who love concrete and packed dirt. Whether you?re an advanced rider who wants a bike you can dial in to your specific preferences or a beginner who needs a bike that can survive your learning curve, our Dirt and Street line has a bike for you.
Trials
Trials takes all the key skills that every cyclist needs and distils them into their most refined form. There?s no faking, there?s no posing; in trials, either you have it, or you don?t. Trials riding is the essence of our sport, the art of it. If you long to elevate your status from athlete to artist, our trials bike was created for you.
Cross Country Enduro
The Faze series of full-suspension XC bikes have been designed to be light and strong enough to race the Trans-Alps or an epic day-long trek in Moab. The FAZE features our patented 4-bar linkage, a design Bike Magazine described as, ?neutral, well-behaved, and active under both pedal and brake loads.?
Cross Country Race
As any good XC racer knows, there comes a time in every course where you have to steel your will, take a deep breath, and throw on your best ?suffer face? (as our Factory Team Pro XC-racer, Roddi Lega, likes to call it). XC racing requires big lungs, strong legs, mental determination, and a light bike.
Adventure
Our Adventure series has the ideal multi-purpose bike for a rider who wants to get out into the woods, ride to work, or just pedal around the neighbourhood. Not all of us have a burning desire to have our business cards read ?professional cyclist? and that?s OK. We?ve done all the complicated stuff so all you need to worry about is finding the time to get out and ride. Our Adventure X models have been designed to suite progressive riders who need a great bike for learning the basics, but want to move towards a more aggressive style of cycling.
